Some of the effects taught with the TITANIC DECK
Riffle Choice
Effect - The deck is fairly shuffled until the spectator is happy. Then the spectator is asked to look at the card as you riffle through them and merely shout stop whenever - while all this happensyour head is turned - also the cards are riffled very slowly to prove there is no funny business going on (as in no force!!!). The spectator then shouts stop, she is handed the card and then you are in a position to reveal the card in any way wanted.
Under The Table:
The deck is FAIRLY SHUFFLED, the spectator is then handed the deck to check that no cards are previously reversed and asked to SHUFFLE the cards if they like. The spectator is than told to put the deck under the table and cut it as many times as the like and turn the deck over, then turn the face card face down and put into the center of the deck. You are the only person in the world that knows the identity of the card!
Picture This:
The spectator is shown a picture of spread cards and told that the way in which the picture is taken will influence his choice of a card. She is then instructed to think of any of the cards. Then in order that there is proof of her selection, she is asked to take the shuffled deck (yes she can shuffle it) and remove her thought of card. Then by means of 'reading her body language' you reveal the colour, suit then value of the card!
The Third Principle:
There is then the explanation of the 'third principle' if you think you know how the TITANIC DECK works, this piece of genius is well worth the price of the ebook for the mere applications it could have for everything else you could do in magic and mentalism. A very small amount of thought and reference to the work of Anneman and Juan Tamariz for instance and your creativeness will be brimming over in every which direction!

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. If you are not overly adept at handling cards then this deck concept is just what the doctor ordered.
Is this just another marked deck?
No! The cards are not marked, and can be freely shuffled by the spectator.
I already use a stacked deck, is this something different?
The Titanic Deck isn't just a way to shuffle a stacked deck. Although that's pretty cool as it is! Look at the THIRD PRINCIPLE and you will understand what we mean!
Whats included with the ebook?
You will need two decks of bicycle playing cards to construct your Titanic Deck (Also available at www.magicshop.co.uk). The book teaches you in detail how to construct the deck using the decks. If you prefer, you can take out most of the prep work by purchasing a special something, available very cheaply from most magic shops (full details are given in the ebook)

"What you actually get is a consice booklet describing step-by-step how to construct a specific type of deck (the Titanic Deck - TD) that allows for some very nice and strong mental effects. So how do I define nice and strong? I will try to be as clear as possible: I am a fan and desperate in search of apparently impromptu, apparently propless mental effects. And this is the case because I am a casual performer - I love mentalism but I can't set up a stage type of performance so my range of selections is rather narrow.
The TD fits very well my style - it may be used for some very nice effects that appear to be propless and impromptu while with same deck someone may do a whole repertoire without the need of a switch.
What I like most however, is that with the TD I may pass the deck at any time to the audience to check it, shuffle etc etc so I can get rid from a number of problems that arise after someone shows a strong and impactful effect (ie when people start reconstructing the effect and find out that you weren't as fair as possible or when you do it again for someone and a person that already has seen it and knows what to look for is present - This is the hard reality of casual performers and the TD is a medicine to these problems)."

The thinking here combined with some well known principles will get your juices flowing.You will immediately realize that creating seemingly real miracles for your spectators has has been made easier and more 'convincing'.
